This past Christmas season, I was hell bent on one thing:
MAKING CHRISTMAS MEMORIES
This year, I was going to go all out and make sure my kids felt the magic! And, I think I did pretty good for this being the first year in 5 I haven’t had a major depression and/or sickness going on.
First, I had the kids decorate the tree with me:
Then I proceeded to puke Christmas all over the house with decorations:
I broke down and did TWO Elf on the Shelf deals:
And to top it off, we went to Crossroads Village where they both got to ride their first Christmas train and look at lights! By the end, my son was singing carols to passers by, so filled with the Christmas spirit!
Christmas Eve was awesome, and spent with my family at our house with great food and great company (photos to be added later). Christmas morning was made magical by Santa (AHEM MRS SANTA) going a little nuts on the gifts this year:
This year, I am not looking back on the season with regret. I’m not asking what could have/ should have been done, and I am very satisfied. When Logan tells me about “I RIDE A REAL TRAIN!” out of the blue, I know that we made some memories this year, and I am looking forward to many many more.
I hope you had a great Christmas season as well!
